dc.description.abstract | The survey was conducted to provide baseline information on the knowledge, attitudes and practices of caregivers regarding early childhood development that would serve as the basis for monitoring progress in the two districts of Mohale’s Hoek and Quthing in the Kingdom of Lesotho. The survey aimed to unfold the knowledge, attitudes and practices of caregivers in early childhood development and further assess the impact of the sensitisation campaigns that NECDOL periodically conducted in the districts regarding health and nutrition, education, social protection and, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH).
The study utilised a quantitative descriptive survey design. Data was collected from 157 respondents in the two districts using questionnaires that were administered by fieldworkers. The KAP survey instrument also allowed for the capture of critical data and information that will be used as monitoring and evaluation benchmarks for NECDOL programmes in the two districts. | en_US |
